BriSCA F1 World Final Press Release
The BriSCA F1 World Final weekend is the biggest Stock Car event of the year; and this year’s staging at the King’s Lynn Adrian Flux Arena – 13th and 14th September - proudly presented by Trackstar Racing, sponsored by Autotech Recruit; is shaping up to be just that.
Friday 13th September is the Overseas F1 Stock Car racers event with the 2 Litre Stock Cars accompanying the night. We have received word from Holland that 68 Dutch F1 competitors will be coming to race with us on the Friday night, plus with New Zealanders; that’s potentially over 70 F1’s! What a meeting that will be!
The number of entries has exceeded expectations and therefore requires an additional race from our original plan (at least one!) and we will unfortunately need to bring forward the start time – please note the F1’s will now be on track from 6:30pm; 2 Litre Saloons from 6:15pm.
It’s going to be a great two days – a real festival of BriSCA F1 Stock Car action – the Overseas’ racers are the perfect build up to the big day and the race for the Gold on the 14th September. Two late night parties, racing, fun & festival, it’s going to be good!
Ticket sales are going really well for the World Final – the homestraight Grandstand is almost sold out apart from a handful. The temporary Grandstand is selling well also – don’t miss out on your seat!
Time is ticking to get your tickets in advance - which are discounted on those at the box office on the day, these are on sale until Friday 6th September via our website (see below), or you can ring the office and order. Please be advised due to the busy Summer period and the increase in demand for orders, the time frame from posting has increased to 10 – 14 days, our apologies for this. Or you can purchase tickets at every King’s Lynn meeting before the event weekend. The Pre World Final promotional T-shirt has gone down very well too and we’ve sold out of most sizes – there are still some available in Large and XL if you head to the Trackstar website, http://www.stockcar-racing.co.uk/ and check out our online shop to purchase, along with the advance tickets.
Plans are progressing well for the World Final and further details will be published soon. The timetable of events has gone to the BSCDA for ratification, so once that’s confirmed we will be releasing that soon. Ideas are still welcome of course and you might think of something we have forgotten maybe – so let us know! Further planning meetings happening soon to make the day as best as possible and we will publish more news as soon as we can.
Congratulations to Tom Harris (84) and the other 9 drivers to qualify for the World Final in the first Semi Final event at Sheffield 4th August, we wish the drivers racing 10th August at Buxton the best of luck in their search for the next 10 places in the second Semi Final.
