Meeting Format

 

 

Introduction

Stock Car and Banger action returns with a great line up of variety from 3 banger classes - a throwback to a number of years ago to Pre-90 RWD 2L bangers, the up to date - brilliant Micro Banger action, the superb stars of the future – Junior Bangers and the excellent 1300 Stock Cars also on the line up to complete an evening of metal crunching action at the Adrian Flux Arena.

Spectator gates will open 2 hours before start time. The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under-cover viewing too!), free on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, ample food outlets and other great facilities.

Please note that all bags will be searched on entry and coolboxes, glass and alcohol are not allowed to be bought into the venue

 

There are currently 27 Pre-90 2L RWD Bangers, 50 Micro Bangers, 38 1300 Stock Cars and 31 Junior Bangers booked in to race.

 

If you are booked in and are no longer able to race please let us know asap. If you are not booked in and would like to race please book in asap by texting 07939 580652, Junior Bangers please contact your registered Promotion. Drivers turning up not booked in to race will not receive complimentary admissions which they may be entitled to.

Drivers please note that the pits open at 2pm and your early arrival will be appreciated. Drivers turning up in the last hour could well find themselves missing their first race. Please note you will not be able to save space in the pits and if you want to park with someone please make sure you turn up with them. Only race transporters will be allowed in the pits

 

Pre90 2L RWD Bangers

A throwback to cars of a number of years ago, but with upto date rules (cars/ engine eligibility can be found here). A chance to see Cortina’s and Capris etc. in one last roof bending chance at glory.

You don’t often see Dave Vincent (22) and Shayn Winsor (160) in the smaller classes now, but a big fan of RWD tempts them out for this one. Extremely experienced on the shale too, they will be front runners this Saturday.

Nicky Young (791) has been missing from the action lately, but makes a welcome return this Saturday and is not afraid to be amongst the action. “Paranoid” Paul Bowen (557) an infrequent racer joins us on track this Saturday for a blast around the shale too.

The hugely committed Team Sowter/ Filmer join us once again, Taylor Sotwer (388), Jack Filmer (883) and Tom Filmer (884) will travel a long way to be with us and are always great to watch.

Aston Burt (246), Michael Carter (329) and Ryan Preston (821) will be others to watch, not shy of getting stuck in and mostly likely to be seen putting the bumpers about.

Micro Bangers

The small Micro Banger class join the line up, but whilst the cars may be small – the action is not! Some huge crashes and smashes from these cars, with big grids; they are a firm fan favourite for that reason.

Expect Taylor Sowter (388) to be putting more hits about this Saturday!

Lee White (830) will lead the charge and eager to get back to winning ways and try and close down the gap in the points chart on the top spot. Ben Mynott (352) sits in third, not far behind White and will also be looking to take a chequered flag or two on Saturday.

Cameron Hubbard (624) will be hoping to keep it on all four wheels; rolling over twice in one event earlier this year! Previous Micro UK champion Ben Randell (165) will be looking to get his season back on track after a number of mechanical failures has hampered his results.

Callum Lacey (412) will be one to watch and is regularly being awarded Entertainer awards, as is Ryan Sutcliffe (664), both have pulled off some big shots in recent months.

Nicky Bishop (43) is always amongst the action and not afraid of putting the bumper in either. Similarly, Jamie Blything (248) who has taken home a wrecked machine on numerous occasions.

Team Bilge will be out in force and are an ever present sight in the Micros, not afraid of getting stuck in when needed too, keep an eye on the green and purple cars of Donny Mann (135), Olly Scott (339), Kieran Challis (666) and Fabian Leathers Ashley (808)

1300 Stock Cars

The 1300 Stock Cars will add more metal clattering sights and sounds to the evening – this formula has been superb around King’s Lynn this season and with this Saturday the last chance of track time ahead of their World Final event here 3^rd August – expect much of the same on Saturday. Fast, hard hitting, Stock Car action the order of the day!

Many of the top names will likely be in attendance, led by Dan Booth (216) who has had a steady, consistent year, but has not been on the top spot of the podium as much as he would like, and likely to be throwing it all at the evening this Saturday.

 

Dan Booth (216) will be hoping to avoid more pile ups this weekend.

Jacob Bromley (303) will be pushing him, he took the formula by storm last season and seemingly really enjoys the King’s Lynn track; going well at each meeting! Likewise Lauren Overy (317) who is happy to put the bumper about on the competition and is quick on track too; taking a few race wins here this season.

Kevin Shin (400) a well renowned big hitter won’t shy away from using the bumper, likewise for Todd Payne (149), both will be ones to watch on track this Saturday. Banger National Champion Tony Pallett (566) joins the grid in a 1300 Stock Car for the first time, he’s a very quick and capable driver, it will be interesting to see how he takes to the Stock Cars.

Junior Bangers 

Fresh off of their World Final event at Northampton, the Junior Bangers round out the line up tonight with another capacity grid of cars joining us; they always put on a great show.

Blake Platts (450) put in a sterling drive to take the title – congratulations to him on a great win, Louie Cottrill (999) coming home in second and Joey Holmes (90) third, a huge amount of talent amongst these three and we look forward to seeing them back with us on Saturday.

Harry Cobb (229) is also on a good run of form with some great results this year, he is now one of the top Junior Banger drivers here and upgraded to Superstar and will be one to watch.

Emily Taylor (409) is improving at every meeting; she is great to watch and a race winner here earlier this year. Jack Maddox (5) and Bradley Green (449) have been in good form around King’s Lynn also this year and will be out looking for another good night Saturday.

Aiden Storr (854) is coming to the end of his Junior Banger career and will be looking to end on a high. Whilst Sam Markham (374) is at the other end and relatively new, will be looking to improve further with this outing.

The Juniors have been very entertaining this year!

 

It will be another excellent night of action all round from these four classes - not to be missed!
