Introduction

Unlimited Banger action returns to the Adrian Flux Arena this weekend with an old school flare – All Granada and Volvo Bangers! 1300 Stock Cars join us, fresh off their World Championship here earlier this month and are in good numbers – they are superb to watch; the brilliant Junior Bangers complete the line up. Non-stop action and a night of a great entertainment.

Spectator gates will open 2 hours before start time. The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under-cover viewing too!), free on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, ample food outlets and other great facilities.

Please note that all bags will be searched on entry and coolboxes, glass and alcohol are not allowed to be bought into the venue

 

There are currently 96 All Mk 1/2/3 Granada & Volvo Bangers, 36 1300 Stock Cars and 21 Junior Bangers (fully booked) booked in to race.

 

If you are booked in and are no longer able to race please let us know asap. If you are not booked in and would like to race please book in asap by texting 07939 580652, drivers turning up not booked in to race will not receive complimentary admissions which they may be entitled to. Please note the Junior Banger entry is capped and now fully booked, sorry.

Drivers please note that the pits open at 2pm. Drivers turning up in the last hour could well find themselves missing their first race. Please note you will not be able to save space in the pits and if you want to park with someone please make sure you turn up with them. Only race transporters will be allowed in the pits

 

MK1/2/3 Granada and Volvo Bangers

A meeting that has been eagerly anticipated for some time; and a great number of cars booked in. Topping the line up will be Dave Vincent (22) no doubt in his favoured MK2 version, Vincent is one of the top rear wheel driver racers and will be in his element on Saturday.  Likewise will Shayne Winsor (160) who comes back from injury and always there or thereabouts in the results – with a smartly presented machine too.

Top racers will also be joining us also in the form of Tom Waller (209) and Ricki Finney (455) who are no strangers to racing at King’s Lynn. Plus Callum Gill (757) – 2 Litre Banger World Champion and current leader of the King’s Lynn National Points; who is currently battling the current holder of the National Points Lee White (830).

A meeting that some of the best Banger racers from across the country are coming to join us, North, South, East and West. Not only from England, but all over the UK – Steve McGrath (388) will be joining us from Ireland. James Dillon (152) and Neil Naismith (880) are two of the contingent from Scotland, plus welcome visitors from Holland - Dennis Vorkink (211) and Erik Weering (385). Dillon, Naismith are known for their material, plus Vorkink bought a Volvo Ambulance last year and Carl Sewell (476) a Volvo Hearse, there might be some nice Hearse or Limo versions about!

Entertainment will come in the form of many of the top Banger racers from EA; James Licquorice (51), Lewis Godfrey (93), Davey Cox (119) and Kieran Bowman (178) are all more than happy to get involved in the action.

Likewise Callum White (100) and Brett Jackson (551), neither afraid of putting some hits about, joined in good company with fellow big hitters from the Sowter/Filmer team; who sure are putting in some miles to be with us most meetings this year – or every meeting in Taylor Sowter’s (388) case – he really is pushing hard for the Entertainer of the year.

 A top night of highly competitive banger racing and big hitting action on the cards. 

1300 Stock Cars

The excellent 1300 Stock Cars join us fresh from their World Final event a couple of weeks ago – one of the biggest fields of cars in attendance and it was a first rate night of action. Lee Pearce (23) took the main race – his first World Final crown and so deserved; he is the top driver at the minute in the formula. He’s back with us on Saturday and eager to showcase what he’s capable of wearing the gold roof. Jacob Bromley (303) gave it his all in the World Final and came home a very credible second spot and will be looking fore more of the same on the 17^th.

Martin Taylor (422) had a good meeting last time out with two second places, he will be looking for more Saturday. Stephen Murphy (561) also had a great night, a win in the Steve Newman memorial final, but then he took a chance on the Dash for the Cash afterwards and came away with a very wrecked motor. He will be hoping to avoid a rollover and just stick to winning this weekend. Wally Walden (276) equally having a great meeting last time with an unexpected win in the last chance race to qualify for the World Final and looking for another win or two again!

It’s a busy night for some of the 1300 Stock Car racers as they double up on the Granada/Volvo Banger action; Ben Englestone (769), Todd Payne (149), Polly Reade (285) and Carl Sewell (467) all take on both classes and hoping for a good night of racing in the Stock Cars and crashing in the bangers, all are usually ones to watch in both classes so keep an eye on them!

 

Junior Bangers

Only recently added to the line up a week ago, but great to have them on the schedule as they are superb to watch. The future of racing can be found in this formula and they don’t hold back.

World Champion Blake Platts (450) and National Points Champion Joey Holmes (90) will be looking to battle it out on Saturday, Joey usually picks up a win or two when he visits and you can bet he will be charging hard!

Harry Cobb (229) and Louie Cottrill (999) will be their main competition, these two local drivers are as quick as anyone around King’s Lynn and will be looking to keep the charging champions at bay.

They won’t have it easy though with a number of quick drivers in the mid pack like Harry Gelsthorpe (555) and Lennie Murkin (608), both race winners at King’s Lynn this season. Plus so many quick White and Yellow grade drivers amongst the line-up, a fiercely competitive night of racing for the Juniors is on the cards.

 

Fun Fair

All the fun of the fair will be at King's Lynn on Saturday and the good news for Mum and Dad is that the ride will be free for the kids to go on as often as they like! We will have the funhouse in attendance this Saturday.
