Introduction

A simply massive weekend of Stock Car and Banger Racing takes place at the Adrian Flux Arena King's Lynn on Saturday 1st (5pm) and Sunday 2nd June (1pm).

Events don't come much bigger than a 2 Litre Saloon Stock Car Championship – Saturday night, racing for the European Championship accompanied by All Bluebird / Cavalier / Carina / Primera Bangers and then Sunday; Saloon Stock Car European revenge! PLUS, The Trackstar 2 Litre Banger World Final, sponsored by King's Abbey Taxis and The Tyre Bay.

Don’t forget camping is available in the designated camping area with a late night party Saturday night in the Champions bar; with live music provided by “The Fused”.

A weekend of action and excitement is guaranteed, high impact, metal crunching action all the way!

Spectator gates will open 2 hours before the start time each day. The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under-cover viewing too!), on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, ample food outlets and other great facilities.

Please note that all bags will be searched on entry and coolboxes, glass and alcohol are not allowed to be bought into the venue

Saturday - There are currently 51 2 Litre Saloon Stock Cars, 54 Bangers and 41 1300 Stock Cars booked in to race.

Sunday - There are currently 51 2 Litre Saloon Stock Cars, 76 2 Litre Bangers and 28 1300 Stock Cars booked in to race.

If you are booked in and are no longer able to race please let us know asap. If you are not booked in and would like to race please book in asap by texting 07939 580652. Drivers turning up not booked in to race will not receive complimentary admissions which they may be entitled to; Saloon drivers please contact Marion.

Drivers please note that the pits open at 2pm and your early arrival will be appreciated. Drivers turning up in the last hour could well find themselves missing their first race. Please note you will not be able to save space in the pits and if you want to park with someone please make sure you turn up with them. Only race transporters will be allowed in the pits

2 Litre Saloon Stock Cars (Both days)

The 2 Litre Saloons are a fans favourite and it’s not hard to work out why, hard impact, no holds barred Stock Car racing – even on a “domestic” meeting these drivers don’t hold back – throw in a championship and sit back and listen to the arena fill with the sound of clashing metal. It’s going to be good.

The European Championship is up for grabs Saturday night; dating all the way back to 1983 and last staged at King’s Lynn in 2012. Diggy Smith (116) is the current holder of the title and on a run of tremendous form after winning the British Championship at Taunton recently; proudly displaying a multi coloured roof, Red and Yellow for the European plus Black and White for the British, Diggy will be keen to keep it that way; the only driver to win the race 4 times, few would bet against him retaining.

116

Current European Champion Diggy Smith will be hoping to keep the red and yellow chequered roof

The booking list is a who’s who from the Saloon Stock Car World, with many of the top drivers heading to the Adrian Flux Arena to do battle; including a long list of the formula’s champions. World of Shale Champion and current leader of the King’s Lynn track Championship, Daniel Parker (306) is one of those and will likely feature well as will former European Champion Deane Mayes (730) who lies second in the track championship.

World Champion Max Stott (157) returns to the venue where he won that title, the World Final was a chaotic race last August and Max will be looking to add to his Gold roof.

Simon Venni (570) is one of the top drivers on shale and could be in with a good chance to take the title; like Timmy Barnes (131) who has picked up a number of race wins here this season, both neither shy of getting invovled in the action.

125 131

Action all the way in the 2 Litre Saloon Stock Cars

Travellers from across the UK will be venturing to King’s Lynn to take part. The Scottish contingent will be led by Barry Russell (600) who is one of the quickest around King’s Lynn and very rarely misses a meeting here; he has good practise.

National Champion Graeme Shevill (661) will take to the track and he’s not shy of getting stuck in; joined by a number of other Scots looking for success including ORCi Champion Barry Glen (38) and Jordan Cassie (697) who took a roll here earlier in the season.

IMG_0368

A big crunch for Jordan Cassie (697) last time here, ending in a rollover.

Brad Compton Sage (902) will lead the charge for the West Country; whilst coming across from Mainland Europe will be Miakel Maas (390) and Bart Wouters (868).

Will it be one of the current Champions adding to their Championship CV, or will one of the up and coming drivers take the spoils; Luke Dorling (120), Tom Yould (214), Ryan Santry (389) and Cole Atkins (399); are capable drivers of springing a surprise.

172 610 214 db

Will one of the formulas up and coming drivers feature in the result?

The 2 Litre Saloon Stock cars return on Sunday for their European Championship revenge day and you can bet if there was any battles going on Saturday they will carry on to Sunday. The 2 Litre Saloon Stock Cars won’t disappoint! Good luck to them all.

Bluebird/Cavelier/Carina/Primera Bangers (Saturday only)

Saturday night features a throwback to the Banger action of some time ago with Bluebirds, Primeras, Cavaliers with a handful of Carinas and Calibras thrown in for good measure.

Last year’s event received rave reviews with lots of roof bending shots, action non-stop from start to finish and a lot of fans rating the meeting as meeting of the year. Kevin Shinn (400) will be one the fans will be watching, one of the strongest performers in a Bluebird.

IMG_0614

Kevin Shinn (400) was a stand out performer last year in a Bluebird; keeping coming back for more!

Former World Champion Davey Cox (119) joins the line up, putting on a great hard hitting display, last time here at the East Anglian Team event.

Kieran Bowman (178) is a driver who can race and wreck in equal measures; along with Jamies Licquorice (51) and Taylor Sowter (388). All are race winners here this season, but also renowned entertainers.

James Ellis (85); not a stranger to wrecking a machine, last year he was very much involved in the action.

IMG_0616

James Ellis (85) delivered this great shot last year

A long list of drivers that will be looking to put on a good show; with lots roof bending hits likely to feature. Saturday will be a great evening of action and likely another highlight of the banger racing calendar here.

2 Litre Bangers World Final (Sunday only)

Part 2 of our big weekend is the 2 Litre Banger Trackstar World Final event, with thanks to King's Abbey Taxis and The Tyre Bay for sponsoring the event.

2LBangerWorld

A big number of cars currently booked in for this one, drivers from all across the country coming to support us once again, some of the top drivers from the National Banger scene coming to take their chance.

The 2 Litre Banger scene here is certainly in good shape, with over 40 racing at our meeting in March and 55 on 6th May for the Bandit Memorial. Both events a hard hitting affair and more of the same again.

Lee Clarke (247) won the event in 2018 and will be on the grid and taking his chance to retain the title. He became the first driver to ever win the title twice in a row; can he make it three today? He has tremendous form in this race; he has been in the top three every year since 2014; remarkable!

209 247

Defending Champion Lee Clarke (247) looking to make it three in a row

National Points Champion Lee White (830) is one of the fastest around King’s Lynn on his day and will be one of the front runners to challenge for the win.

Wes Freestone (340) won the Bandit Memorial final and is in good form that he could pedal the car to another victory in the big race; likewise Andy Battle (898) who came runner up to Freestone.

Will a Trackstar driver take the home title or will a visitor take the title away; Tom Waller (209), Harry Overy (356) or Lee Kingsnorth (400) could take the title away.

IMG_0386

The Gladiators and Aftermath clashed last time here, same again this Sunday?

Much like the Bandit Memorial a number of teams will be represented well; with the Gladiators turning out once again in good numbers. Members of the Predators in action along with the Aftermath, more Mondeo smashing is on the cards!

The last chance event will be as hotly contested as the main event with a number of top drivers still looking to qualify; John Reeves (188) or last years bronze place Jordan Cummings (570). Both are certainly ones to keep an eye on as is Billy Smith (161).

Turn 4

Chaotic scenes at the last 2 Litre banger event

A hugely competitive list in both the feature race and the support last chance event; who’s the winner going to be? Pick your favourite and give them a cheer.

Good luck to them all.

1300 Stock Cars

A late addition to the billing; the 1300 Stock Cars were in fine form on Bank Holiday Monday; the 1300’s really are rapidly becoming a must watch with lots of cars; it’s hugely competitive with many different race winners each time and some excellent action and entertainment. Based on their outing on Bank Holiday Monday, we’re in for another great meeting from them.

Lauren Overy (317) had a great meeting here on Bank Holiday Monday; taking two race wins in fine style; she will be one to watch this weekend.

IMG_0419

Lauren Overy was in great form last time out

Beau Southgate (241) came away with a second place in the meeting final on Monday, Robert Spinks (760) and Luke Leedell (191) also race winners that day will be keen to keep that form going.

Dan Booth (216) and Jacob Bromley (303) will top the line up, along with fellow red graders Jack Lower (142) and Ben Englestone (769), both are race winners at the Arena in 2019 and all will be looking to take the chequered flag and gain the upper hand with the World Final event looming in August.

IMG_0318

The 1300 Stock Cars constantly provide great, competitve racing
