Introduction

The annual Halloween Carnival Night is nearly upon us, and looks set to be one of the most spectacular yet. The event always attracts a massive entry, serving up terrific entertainment for the large crowd enjoying a terrific atmosphere and the huge fireworks spectacular.

The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under cover viewing too!), free on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, ample food outlets and other great facilities.

There are 98 Unlimited Bangers, 36 1300 Stock Cars and 12 Reliant Robins booked in to race.

Any driver who turns up unbooked will not receive any complimentary admissions / start monies which they may be entitled to. If you are not listed below and would like to race please contact:  07939 580652.

Drivers please note that the pits open at 2pm and your early arrival will be appreciated. Drivers turning up in the last hour could well find themselves missing their first race. Please note you will not be able to save space in the pits and if you want to park with someone please make sure you turn up with them. Only race transporters will be allowed in the pits

Unlimited Bangers

The enormous entry of Unlimited Bangers features some of the sport’s biggest name and the greatest entertainers from across the country. This event always attracts plenty of hearses and limousines to go with the ghoulish Halloween theme, and we expect no different this years, as the pictures released of #77 Lee Ivatt’s gigantic Lincoln Town Car limo go to show.

 77Limo2

We're sure this car will be in amongst the action!

Heading the entry is the decorated #247 Lee ‘Bro’ Clarke, the double world champion who now also holds the World of Shale title. Clarke has recently been honing his skills with a couple of Saloon Stock Car outings so may now be an even more formidable competitor.

Other star names include Unlimited World Final runner up #673 Darren Fendley, multi-champs #22 Dave Vincent and #160 Shayn Winsor, and defending King of the Fens and British Under-25 title holder #209 Tom Waller.

A busy night for Tom Waller (209) defending two titles

Top local youngster #757 Callum Gill will have his eyes on the British Under-25 title after finishing runner-up last year, as will the likes of Boston-based #221 Jordan Storr and a man who has conquered many formulas, #921 Jack Aldridge.

Arguably the country’s top entertainers, Team Sowter/Filmer make their usual trip up from the south, with #288 Carl and #388 Taylor Sowter, #883 Jack and #884 Tom Filmer ready for action. Making a similar journey are the Bears’ #43 Luke Maynard and #321 Kieran Fry.

Team Sowter/Filmer and The Bears could mix again on Saturday!

Of those more likely to be focused on having a big old crash, local favourites the Mad Hatters have #390 David Gibson and #399 Jonny Atkin in action, with the latter flying up the Enterainers’ League standings in recent months. That title looks set to go the way of the committed #178 Kieran Bowman, who may also have a go at the U25 title before settling into crashing mode.

Kieran Bowman (178) oftern takes home a wrecked motor!

The James brothers, #262 Buddy and #362 Jonny make another welcome visit all the way from Exeter, while #200 Steve ‘Noon’ Farrell from Stoke and 277 Sean Rowell from Southampton are two more long-distance travellers coming to entertain.

262

Expect Buddy James (262) to be in amongst the action once more

From closer to home, #791 Nicky ‘Spud’ Young remains as popular as ever and, like Boston’s #282 Bobby ‘Mr Mad’ Daniels, usually turns out a special motor for this meeting.

Local racer Nicky Young (791) could be bringing something different!

1300 Stock Cars

The 1300cc Stock Cars will have their 25-and-under Championship of Great Britain on offer, defended by #241 Beau Southgate, with #149 Todd Payne and #317 Lauren Overy among those likely to take it away from him. After a sensational debut season, #303 Jacob Bromley will also be a strong contender.

317

The 1300 Stock Cars often provide great action

The title’s inaugural winner was #216 Dan Booth who is now too old to be eligible, but the World of Shale champion is likely to be among the pacesetters for the rest of the meeting, along with #450 Luke Jackson, the national points champion. Those two are fighting for this year’s silver roof, along with  #422 Martin Taylor.

Dan Booth (216) will be one of the front runners

It will be interesting to see how Spedeworth visitor #186 Ryan Jordan will fare, while there is a return to the formula for #76 Jherek Upchurch.

Reliant Robins

The three-wheelers are sure to delight the crowd with their antics, performing multiple rollovers and shedding bodywork as they go.

Staying on all three wheels and staying in tact is a challenge!

The field includes world champion #553 Daniel Douglas as well as several more from the entertaining The Black Ones outfit, with the likes of #576 Colin ‘Porkey’ Aldred set to lead the stakes when it comes to crowd-pleasing antics.

553 247 dw (5)

World Champion Daniel Douglas (553) tops the line up

Other frontrunners include #66 Steve ‘Pork Pie’ Willis, while #9 Dale Russell usually goes well at King’s Lynn and Kent-based #383 Shane Harvey has been an excellent addition to the formula this year.
