Shootout Crunch time
This Saturday it’s the Silver Shootout Showdown.
It’s now or never for the Shootout contenders of both the F1 and F2 Series in the fight for the 2018 silver roof.
F1 Stock Cars; round 6 of the National Series Shootout – Saturday’s round is sponsored by Bensons Products Limited.
9 of the 12 contenders are scheduled and whilst mathematically there is still enough points up for grabs in the remaining rounds; realistically; Stuart Smith (390) has a small margin over the top four and if the others want to have a chance; they need to stop him scoring – because he will do just that and consistently too.
F2 Stock Cars; also in round 6 of the National Series Shootout with all 12 drivers expected to appear which will be the first time this series. Gordon Moodie (7) is out in front of the points; holding a 48 points lead over Kelvyn Marshall (101) in second place; with Chris Burgoyne (647) just a few points behind in third.
Anything can happen in Stock Cars so the points could swing quickly; but, it’s crunch time. The Shootouts could be decided this Saturday, or, will the fight go in to the next round.
