Introduction

After over a month off, Banger Racing returns to the Adrian Flux Arena on Sunday 8th December with an all-Banger line up. The Unlimited Bangers race in the Nutcracker and 1500cc Bangers contest their prestigious National Championship, with the entertaining Junior Bangers completing the bill. 

Action packed Pre-Christmas Banger entertainment for Family and Friends at the Adrian Flux Arena on Sunday.

Spectator gates will open at 11am. The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under-cover viewing too!), free on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, ample food outlets and other great facilities.

Please note that all bags will be searched on entry and coolboxes, glass and alcohol are not allowed to be bought into the venue.

There are 55 Unlimited Bangers, 67 1500cc Bangers and 38 Junior Bangers (Junior Bangers fully booked, sorry)

Drivers if you are not booked in and would like to race, please text 07939 580652. If are booked in and no longer able to race, please let us know asap. The meeting is fully booked for Junior Bangers, f you would like to be added to the reserve list please contact your home promotion. Drivers turning up not booked in to race will not be allowed to race. Thank you for your cooperation.

Drivers please note that the pits open at 10am. Drivers turning up in the last hour could well find themselves missing their first race. Please note you will not be able to save space in the pits and if you want to park with someone please make sure you turn up with them. Only race transporters will be allowed in the pits.

Unlimited Bangers

The Unlimited Banger Nutcracker has been a staple of the season since 1993 –always an entertaining meeting, only two finishers in last years Nutcracker race! Scott Gough (99) took the title last season and will be back again on Sunday to defend. A quality line up though will be looking to take the trophy!

2Litre Banger World Champion Callum Gill (757), shale sumpremo Dave Vincent (22) – will be looking to take one of the few shale trophies he’s not won back with him, plus previous winners Points Champion, Lee White (830) and Lyndon Stark (88) will be leading the charge for glory.

A good mix of racers and wreckers on the booking list; Kieran Bowman (178), Tommy Callaghan (299), Charlie Taylor (514), Gareth Flatters (515) and Ross Cooper (604) will certainly be looking to liven things up - they are normally putting the hits about!

Keep an eye on Ricky Twell (79), Kevin McClagish (273) Jonny Atkin (399) making rare Unlimited Banger outings at King’s Lynn.

King’s Lynn has certainly become one of the best places to go to for Banger action, in particular Unlimited Bangers and this Sunday should not disappoint.

1500cc Bangers

The 1500 bangers race in their National Championship – a prestigious title dating back to 1992. Last years winner Tom Fox (322) not currently scheduled to appear at the time of writing, could we see a new winner this Sunday? The list of qualifiers can be found here.

Former World Champion and previous two time winner of the National Championship Davey Cox (119) will be looking to regain the title, he first won the race in 1994 & then again in 2008 – it’s about time he won it once more! He will certainly be one of the pre-race favourites.

Davey Cox (119) will be looking to elimate the compeittion for the top honours on Sunday!

Trackstar official Terry Garrod (338) joins the line up and a previous winner too, Garrod won the title three years consecutively 2012 – 2015; and holds the record for the most wins in this race, can he increase that record on Sunday? Other former winners Ton Pallett (566) and Lee White (830) will also be looking to take the title.

 

Throw in the mix Callum Gill (757) who doubles up on the action today – is quick in anything he races, Ben Mynott (352) and Brett Jackson (551) who has really found some good form this season, could challenge for the win. Likewise Ben Randell (165) who’s had a great second half of the season winning the Wild Card race late September and the Under 25 Championship in October; it’s going to be a hard fought race!

Other drivers who could upset the party and spring a surprise – or - looking to go out for a smash are; Team Export members Lee Barnes (41) and Dan Wright (113).

Ben Cox (9), James Licquorice (51) and Damien Matthews (87) also are capable of getting in the mix – racing or wrecking! With a couple of Gladiators in attendance: Phil Milner (201) and Phil Smith (549) and Predators too: Damien Matthews (87) and Kieran Bowman (178) – we should be in for a great day of banger action.

Junior Bangers

The superb Junior Bangers are back for their final visit of 2019 – a great year it’s been for them, non stop action and with a full grid of them joining us– more of the same for their 2019 finale.

World Champion Blake Platts (450) and Points Champion Joey Holmes (90) will lead the charge; both quick and make good use of the bumper, they will be favourites for the wins on Sunday. Tough competition will come from Local drivers Harry Cobb (229), Lennie Murkin (608) and Louie Cottrill (999), whilst long distance racer Keaton Ivins (842) will also be looking to give the top drivers a run for their money.

Jack Maddox (5), Bradley Green (449) and Harvey Webb (622) will be looking to continue their good form around King’s Lynn, along with a long list of up and coming youngsters, the under-16’s will be putting on a show we’re sure!
