2L Stock Car World Final Grid
The 2L Stock Car World Final is the season pinnacle for this season and one of the major highlights of the international short oval racing calendar.
GB drivers qualify for their World Final grid position through the 2L Stock Car World Ranking system with top international drivers then being seeded onto the World Final grid with their positions on the grid being determined with their performance in their own countries points charts. The top 24 drivers in the World Rankings together with the top eight international seed make up the World Final grid. In addition to this a further six drivers are up for grabs through the last chance race which will be made up of both GB and International drivers with the last chance grid being formed based on drivers performances in the World Rankings or for overseas competitiors, their performance in their home country points charts. The grid for the World FInal appears below;

The 18 August will see the thirty seventh running of the World Final which can traces its roots back to 1982 when 254 Datlev Katstein was the first winner at Kaldenkirchen in Germany. Since then the World Final has taken place at fourteen different tracks around Europe. This will be the fifth time that King's Lynn has had the honour of staging the race. The full 2L Stock Car Roll of Honour can be accessed here.
The current World Champion 306 Dan Parker took the top honours at Cowdenbeath in Scotland last season. It was a typically robust and hard drive which saw the charging young gun win the title and although Parker has not had the easiest of runs from the back of the grid as World Champion he knows how to get around the Adrian Flux Arena quickly and significantly currently leads the King's Lynn Track Championship so will enter the World Final full of confidence.
