Coming up soon at King’s Lynn, PE34 3AG. . . Saturday night Smash! Another fantastic evening of non stop action takes place at King's Lynn on Saturday 27 July (5pm) where four formulas are in action.

It is another great session with National Banger action coming in the shape of the 1600cc Bangers who will be contesting the Commentators Cup and the next qualifying round for the National Championship -this formula is always a crowd favourite at King's Lynn. Classic Cars R Us Junior Bangers join the line up - you won't believe these young drivers are aged between 11-15 with the competitive and skilful racing they produce! Stock Car action comes from the fantastic 1300cc Stock Cars; the fence will rattle and metal will clatter and rounding out the line up are the entertaining Ladies racing Unlimited Bangers.

There are 41 1600cc Bangers, 33 1300cc Stock Cars, 25 Classic Cars R Us Junior Bangers and 17 Unlimited Lady Bangers booked in to race.

The pit gate will open for competitors at 2pm, the gates for ticket holders will open at 3pm. Please have your e-ticket confirmation ready, either on your phone or printed. The pit gate is for competitors only, there is no pedestrian access at this gate.

A small amount of food and drink (No 2l bottles) can be brought with you into the stadium; alcohol, glass and coolboxes are not permitted. Thank you.

Preview: 

Saturday night Smash! There's nothing domestic about this with over 110 cars scheduled - another fantastic evening of non stop action takes place at King's Lynn on Saturday 27 July (5pm) where four formulas are lined up.

It is another great session with National Banger action coming in the shape of the 1600cc Bangers who will be contesting the Commentators Cup and the next qualifying round for the National Championship -this formula is always a crowd favourite at King's Lynn. Classic Cars R Us Junior Bangers join the line up - you won't believe these young drivers are aged between 11-15 with the competitive and skilful racing they produce! Stock Car action comes from the fantastic 1300cc Stock Cars; the fence will rattle and metal will clatter and rounding out the line up are the entertaining Ladies racing Unlimited Bangers.

1600cc Bangers, the popular mid-range class will see the Astra’s and Focus common place in this fast and furious Banger action. Around 40 of them scheduled so big grids of cars will see thrills and spills around the raceway. The drivers will race in all in heats before racing in the feature final of the day and then finishing off with a destruction derby.  You won’t know where to look around the raceway. . . motorised carnage! Points make prizes as the 1600’s race in a qualifier for the National Championship in December and the Commentators Cup is up for grabs, which will go to the top points scoring driver across the day. 69 Brad Bartam and 608 Lennie Murkin will be the front runners charging hard for the Trophy, as could 337 Ashely Garrod, 356 Sam Hildon and 479 Joel Allen. Keep an eye on the Jackson’s 550 Phil and 551 Brett, who could be looking to get involved in the action, along with the Overall Entertainers league leader 51 James Licquorice and 1600 National Championship Entertainer points leader 910 Jack Rookard.

1300 Stock Cars also are having a superb year; lots of cars, great action and highly competitive racing. There isn’t a standout driver in the class and the winning seems to be shared amongst a number of drivers. Around 35 are currently booked in; the fence will rattle, metal will clatter; sparks will fly. We do enjoy having the 1300’s race with us… if you’ve not seen them before, you will soon see why we enjoy them! World Champion 303 Jacob Bromley will lead the charge, who will have 167 Jimmy Morris challenging him, both are quick around King’s Lynn. Veteran racer 673 John Moat has been a final winner here this year and was in good form in his celebration meeting last month, he will be joined by 473 Dean and 573 and Shane in the reds and it will be a strong Moat charge to the front. 13 Sonny Wright, 671 Leo Moore and 888 Jeff Larke have also taken the chequered flag too, whilst good performances from 319 Connor Shinn, 382 Joe Bamford and 460 Garry Lusher have seen them move up to the yellows.

Completing the line up are the Classic Cars R Us Junior Bangers, for racers 11 to 15 years old, boys compete with the girls and the girls aren’t afraid of taking them on either! Without a standout performer amongst them either, the winning is shared around and it’s great to see. The Juniors don’t hold back, fast, frantic, chaotic, competitive, they’re setting the bar high for the future where hopefully they go on to race more on the ovals. 609  Levi Murkin will be a top tip for the flag this Saturday – a double race winner last weekend, he will take some stopping, but he will have to battle his way by 85 Jade Ellis and 455 Lexi Finney first. 190 Riley Holmes, 339 Jack Garrod, 556 Lincoln Douglas and 920 Rhys Medley will be putting up a tough fight from the mid-grid too.

Concluding the fixture are the Unlimited Lady Bangers in their second outing of the year. 477 Amy Steele is the current points champion and will be looking to keep that title once again, whilst 92 Amylee Harper, 502 Becca Bitson and 626 Kayleigh Sanders also impress with their performances. 110 Stacy Lightfoot was a double race winner last time, but it was 100 Emma Mullins who took the main race of the day. We’re looking forward to their next outing with us.

Commentators Cup

1600 Bangers Commentators Cup

Coming soon at Trackstar is the 18th staging of the National Bangers Commentators Cup.  Originally known as the BangerStox Commentators Cup, the car format for this trophy has changed a few times over the years but more recently it has returned as close to its roots as is currently possible.  The event therefore takes place in the 1600 Bangers on Saturday 27th July.

Our meeting sponsor (guess who!) has added a total of £500 of additional prize money to the formula for the night which will result in top three positions, entertainers award and DD winner earning an enhanced sum.  Additional to our normal domestic meetings, there will also be a small number of merit awards up for grabs which can go to anything from unusual cars, smart cars or hard-working drivers and their pit crews on the night.  Or anything else that catches our attention!

The perpetual trophy for the event will be presented at the end of the night to the driver scoring the highest number of race points during the evening as a whole.  Note that this is not necessarily the winner of the Final.  No driver has ever won the trophy twice – and with 2023 winner 119 Davey Cox now retired and unlikely to race, it is almost certain to be another new name on the trophy this time.  Will it be you?

Please be advised that there is on site parking and over flow parking in the field a short walk from the Stadium. Car parking at King’s Lynn is provided free of charge, please do use this and not the road outside the stadium. 

We would also to like ask everyone to be considerate of our neighbouring Industrial area and to park respectfully if using that space.

Help the Drivers who Entertain you by donating voluntarily to the bonus fund when buying advance tickets and that will be awarded to the drivers with the most votes!

How will it work?

A suggested donation of £2, and every penny donated goes direct to drivers. After the meeting, you will then get chance to vote for who wins the cash by email & you will also be entered into a draw to win a ticket. The more you donate the more votes & chances to win a free ticket! E.g. £4 donation 2 votes and ticket draw entries!

The driver with the most votes in each class will then receive a split of the money raised and will receive the "People's award trophy" at the next meeting they race at.
