Let’s get ready to rumble…over 150 cars and fully booked for competitors! The Stock Car season will roar into life with our traditional Stock Car opener, Saturday 1st March, first race 5pm, with the F2 Stock Cars WCQR, Saloon Stock Cars Charlene Kingston Memorial & 1300cc Stock Cars. This is always a brilliant meeting and kicks off what will be another sensational season in 2025 at King's Lynn. New Season, New Cars, New Paint. . . let’s get ready to rumble! There are 69 F2 Stock Cars, 48 Saloon Stock Cars and 47 1300 Stock Cars booked in to race, we hope you enjoy your evening with Trackstar at King's Lynn.
We...are...back! Stock Car racing returns to the Adrian Flux Arena and what a way to start things off in 2025.
The F2 Stock Cars are set for a fantastic year at King’s Lynn; over 65 at the time of writing scheduled for action on the 1st March.
The list quality, as well as quantity, featuring drivers from North, South, East, West and Mainland Europe including many of the top drivers from the class. World of Shale Champion Charlie Guinchard (183) will likely be front runner, but he will be joined by a long list of challengers itching to beat him to the win with around 20 Stars and Superstars scheduled, not least the likes of Gordon Moodie (7) and Andrew Palmer (606) and who are no slouches on the shale. British Champion and 2024 track champion Greg McKenzie (47) will be lining up and Charley Tomblin (129) led most of the World of Shale last season, he knows the quick way around here. Keep an eye on current World Champion Luke Wrench (1), joined by former World Champions George Macmillan (100) and Chris Burgoyne (647) who will both be looking for a good night
A big list of drivers could feature well on the night too, the shale specialist Issitts; Jack (103) and Pat (113), they tend to leave here with a race win, Billy Webster (226) doesn’t hang about on shale and bringing along a new car for the occasion, we’re sure it will go as well as it looks. Josh Raynor (414), Marcus Gilbert (43) and the Aldridge’s Rob (233) and Scott (715) the list goes on. Not to forget some very quick lower graders who were making good use of the practice day last weekend and showing a good turn of speed with it; drivers like Courtney Smith (116), Steven Radzynski (229) and Jamie Osborne (318); we’re in for a superb night of F2 action.
Welcome to our Dutch friends who are looking to join us, a handful of them venturing over to the King’s Lynn shale – including Willie Peeters (H124) who is no stranger to the chequered flag around here; plus the likes of Jarno van der Wal (H139), Mick Verlaan (H249) and Scott Verlaan (H449) who all look to make the journey over once again here, they’ve been a few times. Good luck to them all.
The Saloons Stock Cars join us and race for the Charlene Kingston memorial trophy; Trackstar are very honoured to have been asked to stage the race and dedicate today’s Saloon Stock Car action in Charlene’s memory. Previously, additional sponsorship was provided to boost the prize money across the night. This year the Family have decided to make the Memorial race the standout and all the additional prize money will be available on Charlene’s race, meaning the race is worth £1000! The added money will likely catch a few drivers eye and incentivize a few to get the foot down.
Track time could prove valuable with the big title of the year coming up at King’s Lynn in 2025 – the World Championship. Topping the line up are a number of champions Ryan Santry (389) who usually picks up some good results around King’s Lynn, UK Champion Alfie Aldous (238) and European Champion Timmy Barnes (131). Joey Reynolds (760) will be joining us and hoping for a good season here. Diggy Smith (116) lines up and racing from Blue to start the year, the last time he dropped to blue he went through a bit of a renaissance, so he might take some stopping and probably won’t be blue for long.
Other drivers to keep an eye on in the front half of the grid will be Rowan Venni (370) and Dan Weevers (333), who both go very well around King’s Lynn. Rob Heanes (192) and Peter Low (631) found their way to the elusive chequered flag last season here and will be hoping for more of the same in 2025. Kieran Bowman (178) another driver to keep and eye on, the former Banger driver was one of the to in class and knows the fast way around King’s Lynn.
The 1300 Stock Cars continue to show their merit as one of the top formulas; the biggest turnout at the opening fixture for a while with mid-40s current booked; the European Championship scheduled here in a couple of months time, the King’s Lynn track will play host to another fantastic year for the formula.
Jacob Bromley (303) will lead the charge displaying the Silver roof as he sets to defend his points crown. Jimmy Morris (167) will look to take the fight to him; the 167 machine is always there or thereabouts on track and a new car for 2025 converting across to the Corse brigade, could that help push that little more into the forefront. Dean Moat (473) can also mix it at the top end and he will be one to watch out for, as will Shane (573) and Dad, John (673). The mid-grid features an ultra competitive array of drivers; all of the blue grade are capable of winning, likewise the case for the yellow grade, so there’s 13 potential winners, plus over 20 white graders to battle through up front it really is hard to separate some top pics to watch out; such is the competitiveness of the class.
The Stock Car Season opener, is not to be missed... It looks set to be another fantastic night of action, we hope to see you trackside and you have a good evening with Trackstar at King's Lynn.
