All action Saturday! Another fantastic evening of non stop action takes place with four formulas on the line up. It is another great session; 1300cc Stock Cars in action- the formula produces some tremendous racing with fantastic turnouts of cars; fence rattling, metal clashing incoming. National Banger action comes in the shape of the 1600cc Bangers who will be contesting a qualifying round for the National Championship -this formula are always a crowd favourite at King's Lynn, with a second round of National Bangers coming from the Small in size, but big on action Micro Bangers. Whilst the youngsters are represented in the Junior Bangers - you won't believe these young drivers are aged between 11-15 with the competitive and skilful racing they produce – these kids don’t hold back! There are 47 1300cc Stock Cars, 37 1600cc Bangers, 31 Micro Bangers and 35 Junior Bangers booked to race.

Let’s get ready to rumble and once again should be a great evening’s entertainment. It is incredible to be able to once again announce a fully booked meeting which should provide for a very good domestic meeting once again. With every formula producing 30 plus cars it should make for a great night of action. The 1300’s have been in brilliant form so far in 2025, and their numbers continue to grow constantly and their racing just gets better and better. This year all roads lead to the European Championship which is here as part of an incredible weekend in August joining the Saloon Stock Car World Championship. Qualifying will take place on the Saturday night with the main race on the Sunday, and like all previous 1300 stock car championships here, it looks set to be utter carnage with places on the grid hotly contested. Back to tonight and there will be plenty to go at with nearly 50 of them out there for what should be a totally chaotic final. Jacob Bromley (303) will lead the charge displaying the Silver roof as he sets to defend his points crown. Jimmy Morris (167) will look to take the fight to him; the 167 machine is always there or thereabouts on track and a new car for 2025 converting across to the Corse brigade, could that help push that little more into the forefront. Dean Moat (473) can also mix it at the top end and he will be one to watch out for, as can Dad, John (673). The mid-grid features an ultra competitive array of drivers; all of the blue grade are capable of winning, likewise the case for the yellow grade, so there’s potential winners throughout the blues, plus over 30 white and yellow graders to battle through up front it really is hard to separate some top pics to watch out; such is the competitiveness of the class
Micro Bangers feature for the first time in 2025, the last time we saw them was at Christmas for their teams of 3 meeting, and if that is anything to go by then we should be in for a cracker. It’s great to have three Scottish drivers in action tonight, with 55 Tam Melrose being a driver who is as quick as they come and he will be one too watch. Highly talented around his locals of Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly, he’s a driver who has racked up many a race win around those tracks, and tonight will be no different I’m sure. It will be great to have him and running mate 452 Cairns here for a visit, and I’m sure both will be well geared up to go well and make a challenge for the chequered flag. The third Scotsman will be 427 James Mellin who loves to get stuck in to the action, he was one of the standout performers at the Bilge meeting last year, and I’m expecting him to be heavily involved this time around as well. We can’t thank them enough for their efforts to make the trip down with us. Another driver making the trip to be with us is the exciting 284 Liam Challender, a driver who has been on the list to see here for some time. He made his debut at The Draft last year and it was a great effort from the young man. I’m expecting a good show from him tonight, he certainly has the ability to pull of the entertaining moments of the night, so we shall see how Liam goes. The UK Micro Champion 869 Jamie Steele and the 25 and Under Great British Champion 331 MacKenzie Whitehead are both in action, and will certainly be the front runners when it comes to grabbing some top points. Jamie has turned into one of the quickest micro drivers around at the moment, and I’d expect that to be no different for 2025 as he attempts to set out to defend his Micro UK Championship.
It's a double header of national banger action with the 1600cc national bangers joining us for the second time in two weeks, and yet again we have some great numbers in them. Over forty 1600’s are in action, with plenty of entertaining drivers amongst them all. Former 1600cc national champions 551 Brett Jackson and 566 Tony Pallett lead the line along with current 1600cc National Champion 608 Lenny Murkin, those three I’m sure will look to score some good points as the evening goes on. On the action front 644 Alfie Sime is one who is very much on the charge in the entertainers league, only 623 Ricky Hutton is ahead of Alfie, and with Rick not here this weekend he could stamp his mark on the entertainers league. Alfie is a driver who really can score heavily with some very good displays, and he will be one too watch as the season goes on. Another pair to keep an eye on are the Giddings boys 195 Billy and 951 Jack, both have been quality in the early part of this season with some devastating displays, and I’d expect similar tonight. The 1600s really have given us some top action so far this season, and they have a little break of a few weeks after this, and they do tend to normally turn it on at a domestic meeting, so keep an eye on this formula.
The last of the four formulas are the Junior Bangers, and once again we have a great number of Juniors in action, around 35 Juniors take to the stage, and If truth be told we could have easily had 50-60 Juniors. They have been quality too watch this season, with good numbers at every meeting. The likes of 609 Levi Murkin who won the points last year will look to stamp his authority on the formula before he bows out later in the season ready for his national banger debut. Taylor Morton is another driver improving at the rate of knots along with 478 Morgan Bailey, both have hit red grades now and will look to hold those positions as the season develops. The racing was busy last time out with plenty of action on track, so we will certainly see how that goes for sure. Plenty of new young talent in that meeting, and it will be interesting to see how they progress with a meeting or two under their belts.
All in all this will be a quality domestic meeting with plenty going on and plenty of races, where else would you rather be this Saturday than here at King’s Lynn.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible Saturday
