The F1 Stock Car grids have now been confirmed and appear below. 515 Frankie Wainman Jnr will be heading to the Norfolk Arena and looks like having a difficult job on his hands as he aims for a top two finish. The Lynn grid is littered with star names and a cursory look on the grid reveals that any driver in the top five rows has a realistic chance of winning the race.
National Points Champion 55 Craig Finnikin has been in great form around Lynn and starts alongside Frankie whilst starting right behind Frank is young charger 4 Dan Johnson who will remember that Frankie put him away hard in last year's World Final whilst deefending World Champion 2 Paul Harrison will also be desperate for a top three spot.
22 Will Yarrow always goes well around the Norfolk Arena whilst 390 Stuart Smith will now be forced to make one appearance on shale this year and what he does from row could be very significant.
With 259 Paul Hines, 12 Michael Scriven and 335 Mark Woodhull also well placed there could be a few surprise names in the World Final through the Lynn Semi.
Further down the grid expect 321 Ed Neachell, 215 Geoff Nicholls and 338 Chris Brocksopp to make some forward momentum - and with a third of the grid not having raced at Lynn this year some names who may be favoured should they make Skegness in a good position could well be left rueing missed opportunities to race on the Eastern shale this year.
