Dean Moat crowned 1300 Stock Car Euro Champ

Congratulations go to 473 Dean Moat who was crowned European Champion at King's Lynn on Saturday night.

Dean's father John was unlucky when a drive shaft went when he was leading which allowed Dean to hit the front and he held on to win despite intense pressure from 216 Dan Booth with 573 Shane Moat making it a 1 2 3 for the home promotion.

Over 40 1300 Stock Cars were in action - the biggest turnout of 1300s ever seen at the Norfolk Arena and each and every driver from all promotions can justifiably feel pleased of a job well done in putting on an awesome display of fantastic full contact Stock Car Racing.

Whereas 1300 titles in the past with Trackstar have been little more than a heat of 20 cars with a name added to it, Saturday night was a true championship and had the atmosphere of the major title which it was and was a fantastic advert for the 1300 Stock Car Association.

Following Saturday night we have been inundated with queries regarding 1300 Stock Cars which now provide cheap full contact Stock Car Racing and we look forward to welcoming yet more drivers to the formula soon.
