Our Pre 70 meeting has had a change of date in 2013 and will take place on Saturday August 17. Racing will take place in both “Overs” and “Unders” with the Unders having a 2L limit. We have already been asked what class the Triumphs go in several times and can confirm that a Triumph with a 2L engine is eligible for both classes but must be booked in the class it is going to race in and must then stick to that class for the meeting. Triumphs with an engine exceeding the 2L limit are only eligible for the overs class.
As long as car numbers are sufficient, we will split the unders into heats for the larger and smaller vehicles in this category with the smaller cars then having two heats to themselves. The earlier you book in, then the earlier we may be able to establish number and confirm the format for the heats.
This meeting will be part of our new banger payout scheme for 2013.
Drivers in the Unders who live within 50 miles of the Norfolk Arena will receive £5 Start Money
Drivers in the Unders who live between 51 and 100 miles of the Norfolk Arena will receive £10 Start Money
Driver in the Unders who live over 101 miles from the Norfolk Arena will receive £15 Start Money
Drivers in the Unders who live more than 151 miles from the Norfolk Arena will receive £20 Start Money.
Drivers can also top up their unders start money by a further £10 as long as they make sure they book in at least a week before the meeting and also have the entire roof of their car painted the correct grade colour!
Drivers in the Overs who live within 50 miles of the Norfolk Arena will receive £10 Start Money
Drivers in the Overs who live between 51 and 100 miles of the Norfolk Arena will receive £20 Start Money
Driver in the Overs who live between 101 and 150 miles from the Norfolk Arena will receive £30 Start Money
Drivers in the Overs who live more than 151 miles from the Norfolk Arena will receive £40 Start Money
Drivers can also top up their overs start money by £10 as long as they make sure they book in at least a week before the meeting and also have the entire roof of their car painted the correct grade colour!
Please note that there is a maximum of £2000 allocated to this meeting and once it has gone it has gone. Please also note that the majority of incentives being paid at this meeting are for Start Monies and Prize Money will be minimal and that there may not be any Prize Money at all if everything is used up in start monies.
Please note that drivers who book in for either class and fail to honour their booking without first cancelling will face a £20 fine.
