Early drivers list for Unlimited Banger War of the Worlds

The Unlimited Banger War of the Worlds Team Event returns to the Adrian Flux Arena following an absence of 12 years on Saturday 25 June where it is hoped that the Bears will be defending the title they won in 2004 when the event was last run!

Under ORC rules each track is allowed to run one meeting which has a £5000 payout. Last year the Pre 85 meeting was our big money meeting but to help give the War of the Worlds a boost this year this meeting will be the one with the £5000 prize purse.

The meeting is open to teams of up to 6 cars and also in action on the day are the 2L Stock Cars Steve Newman Memorial with Junior Bangers completing the action.

£3000 will be reserved for Start Money with drivers being able to claim between £30 and £50 of this depending on how far they travel with the remaining £2000 being paid out as follows;

Top 3 Teams                       1st  £400                2nd  £300               3rd £200

Best Presented Team      £100

Best Material Team         £120

6 individual Car Merit Awards    £30 each

Top Entertainer Teams  1st £300                 2nd £200                3rd £100

DD Winner                          £50

DD entertainer                  £50

Team meetings for Unlimited Bangers have proved difficult to stage in 2016 with meetings in the calendar this year either having to be cancelled or only attracting a handful of cars. The War of the Worlds is currently looking like being the top team meeting during the main season in the Unlimited Bangers  in 2016 with 15 teams of up to 6 cars currently booked in to race. There are currently 62 drivers booked in and with the Bears teams still to be confirmed we are currently expecting over 70 Unlimited Bangers to be in action which is great news!

There are still space for more teams who have until this Sunday (19 June) to still get their start money if any is still available whilst any drivers who would like to book in who do not have a team can book in to join the "Lone Mercenaries" team!

Also in action are the 2L Stock Cars where over 40 cars are booked in to race in the Steve Newman Memorial with Junior Bangers completing the action.
