Following a number of years where the Reliant Robins have been largely unregulated, the creation of the Reliant Robin Racing Association has seen some hard work go on to produce a set of rules covering the main tracks which the formula races on.
We have quite a bit of feedback on these rules – both negative and positive – from various drivers.
During the Easter weekend when there are meetings at Mildenhall and King’s Lynn, the association has directed scrutineers to take a detailed look at cars being raced and how many drivers are running various parts.
The association wishes to keep the costs of racing to a minimum and keep racing as competitive and safe as possible. If a small number of drivers are using trick or expensive parts that the association do not feel are in the spirit of the formula they will not be allowed. However, the association though do not want to see the majority of drivers having to make major changes to their cars.
Once cars racing have been thoroughly reviewed following the Easter weekend the association will make another statement regarding rules.
