The last month has seen us approach all drivers who were booked in for the Mk1 & Mk2 Granada meeting which takes place at King's Lynn on 19 August (5pm).
Drivers were asked to reconfirm their booking and also to prove they have a car by means of photo. Several drivers cancelled their booking and if a driver has failed to respond to multiple attempts to contact them they have been removed from the booking list.
We are delighted that 167 drivers have reconfirmed their booking for what is looking like being an amazing meeting!
We currently have a double figure of Limos and Hearses booked and intend to give these cars their own race at the beginning of the meeting. There will also be a race for Mk 1 Granadas.
Once the meeting starts cars will be split between those with V6 and Pintos to the more modern Duratec powered cars. There are currently around 100 drivers who have said they plan on bringing the older engines and each class will have its own series of heats and a final before a joint All Comers and Destruction Derby at the end of the meeting..
We do now have a handful of additional spaces for this meeitng. Drivers who would like to book in may do so on 01553 771111 / 07939 580652 but proof of car will have to be provided.
We also currently have 47 drivers booked in with Mk3s for the Sunday meeting and bookings are also still being taken for this. If there is room drivers witha car left over from Saturday will also be able to race with the Mk3s on Sunday.
Discount advance tickets for both these meetings will go on sale at the Unlimited Banger War of the Worlds meeting this Saturday and will then be on sale at every Trackstar meeting. Following this weekend they will also be on sale via the internet.
Although we often say that advance discount tickets are highly recommended we have to doubly underline this for Saturday's meeting as I do not think we have ever had such a buzz for this meeting and for the first time ever there is a genuine chance that this meeting could be a "lock out"
