Trackstar would like to thank everyone - drivers, race teams, fans and officials who contributed to another vantastic day for "Crash for Cancer II" at the Adrian Flux Arena on Monday.
Mick Gedney has spent weeks if not months preparing for the meeting and his hard work once again paid dividends with what was most likely the best Big Van Banger meeting we have ever seen at King's Lynn.
All 65 drivers and race teams excelled themselves with some great material and good looking vans and the show delivered on track be each and every driver was outstanding with the meeting including the biggest van race we have ever seen with 39 taking to the track for the consolation and the 30+ All Comers which only had three finishers was van destruction at its very best!
Any drivers who have sponsorship money which has not yet been handed in are requested to please give this to Maggie at the Pit Gate on either 3 or 17 September meetings. Please hand it in a sealed envelope with your race number and name on.
Thanks go to Steve Hemmings, Shaun Stark and Charlie and Josh Howling who were rattling charity buckets for most of the afternoon and collected a whopping £1190.45. When all of the rest of the monies come in together with a donation from Trackstar it is expected that this event will once again raise thousands of pounds for the McMillan Ward at the QEH to add to the £8000 which was raised last year.
Thanks goes to our generous supporters on the terraces for this and despite the afternoon being exceptionally hot the atmosphere our fans created on the terraces was wonderful once again.
Support action came from the Reliant Robins and Lady Bangers and both formlas were also excellent.
Thanks also goes to our hardworking Trackstar Team who had a lot of incidents and wreckage to deal with and despite the high temperature and all the fireproof gear they have on, were, as always exceptional - and like our drivers, their race teams and families and our great army of supporters and fans - are all people we are very proud of indeed!
Monday 27 August 2018 - Crash for Cancer III - Don't miss it!
