Mid-Race Watering

Mid-Race Watering

Whilst mid-race watering has been common place at King’s Lynn for many years now, with some very important races coming up and given the recent heatwave which is set to return (albeit slightly cooler).  We would therefore like to take the opportunity to remind drivers and patrons of our policy on mid-race watering.

Preparing a shale track is very difficult work, preparing a track in a heatwave is even harder and there are times where mid race, the dust needs to be prevented or controlled.

During a race stoppage, in any race; track owner and curator Buster Chapman, will make a decision on whether the track needs dampening down to keep dust to an absolute minimum. This is his decision and his only.

Prior to Stuart Smith making his decision regarding the BriSCA F1 World Championship Semi Final venue, we did contact him to remind him of this eventuality.

Whilst we appreciate the policy is not met with universal agreement, it is there to safe guard and protect the longevity of the track and arena.

We hope you enjoy your Summer of Racing at the Adrian Flux King’s Lynn Arena
