ORCi Statement 2nd November 2020
Following the announcement by the UK government on Saturday 31st October implementing a National Lockdown in England from the 5th November for a period of four weeks, all events during that period have now been suspended and will not now take place.
The ORCi will in the next month review the situation and react to further government advice as and when it becomes available.
Please note, this applies to England, currently different guidance may exist in devolved Nations such as Northern Ireland and Scotland and you should check out individual promotions websites.
The ORCi would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff, race teams and all involved in supporting our sport, generally in an exemplary manner during what have been challenging times.
As always, the focus will be on how and when to 'return to racing' and planning for 2021 and ORCi and individual promotions will announce their plans.
The ORCi will issue a further statement with regards Winter events as and when advice becomes available later in the month. Some promotions are hoping to run events in December if lockdown ends on the 2 Dec. Please refer to individual promoter websites for further information. Any queries re prepayment for existing events may be directed to each individual promotion who will announce their own policies.
Stay safe, take care.
