Pit access – update

Pit access – update

We know how much Pit access means to spectators and we know it does maybe have a bearing on whether someone attends a meeting. During the last 12 months pit access needed to be removed as part of the Covid19 protocols and the stadium was segregated into two sections; fans one side and pit crews the other; this sadly was a necessity to allow us to reopen. A couple of days ago, following the announcement by Government to remove legal restrictions, we confirmed ways of working at King’s Lynn going forward including the backstraight would reopen to spectators.

Today, we are very pleased to be able to confirm that pit access will return for spectators from our next meeting 24th July.

There is, however, one change we must highlight. There will be no pedestrian access at the Pit entrance gate (Maggie’s gate). This means, unless you are legally seated/travelling in a race transporter/ vehicle you will not be able to pay / enter at the gate. Pedestrians, be it fans or pit crews not in a transporter, will need to enter via the Main Box Office and make their way round to the pit area, through the stadium.

The Pit area policy will remain under constant review and evaluation.

We hope to see you soon, take care.

Graham, Paul and the Team.
