Junior Banger Association Rule Clarification – Bonnet Fixings
It recently came to light at a Junior Banger meeting that the rule regarding bonnet fixings was written in a confusing way.
The Junior Banger Association have clarified this rule and produced an update on the bonnet fixing rule which appears below and replaces the one printed in the 2020 Junior Banger Rule Book
Bonnet Fixings
· Bonnet bolts may be used but only towards the rear and MUST NOT go further forward than the front turrett. The plates that go with these bolts must be a maximum of 6” square. The Front of the Bonnet must be secured by seatbelt only with 2 bits of seatbelt.
· At the rear of the bonnet you must have two triangular corner plates which are a maximum of 12” in length. These can be tack welded or bolted. If tack welded must be to a maximum of 1” (25mm) weld with a 1” (25mm) gap in between.
