5 Minutes with 28 Chloe Bricknell

Trackstar’s Lady Banger Gold Roof championship will be revived at the Adrian Flux Arena, King’s Lynn, on Saturday 15 October for the first time since 2017. And it comes with a twist as, for the first time ever, the women will be contesting the title in Unlimited Bangers.

Lady Bangers Gold Roof, 5 minutes with #28 Chloe Bricknell. Talking with Kieran Bonsall

Do you have a game plan for the main race? I’m starting quite far back on the grid so no plan in particular, just head down and hope for the best

Have you had much Championship experience or is this your first time? Excited? I qualified for junior banger world final back in 2017 but didn’t even manage the first lap and raced at Stoke for the 2018 ladies British championship for my first adult meeting and I finished 4th. I’ve done a few Standlake open championships in the ladies as well but no luck in them so far. Always excited for an unlimited meeting

Anyone you need to watch out for? No one in particular

Who do you think is favourite to win / who would you most like to see win? I really think it could be anyone’s race! There’s a lot of fast ladies out there that know what they’re doing. Personally I’d like to see 488 Codie Reeves do well as she’s always been determined in whatever class she’s in and she knows how to get round the track

How have you prepared? Or are you not prepared? I’ve been playing wreckfest every night for weeks! No only joking, this is the same as any other meeting and I can’t say I do anything to prepare for them, I just go out, do my best, and if it’s meant to be then it’ll be

What do you expect from yourself? I’m not going into this meeting expecting much, it’s one that everyone wants to win so anything could happen on the night. I’d like to at least finish but we’ll see what happens
