Practice Day 2023 information

Information for Practice Day

Drivers, please familiarise yourself with the details for Sunday's Practice day.

The pit gate will open at 9am.

Practice will begin at 10am sharp and run until approximately 4pm.

When you enter the pit gate, the driver together with anyone else they have declared on the insurance form as taking out their car, will be wristbanded. Please note nobody will be allowed on the track if they do not have a wristband.

This day is fully booked, if you have not booked in and paid (or made arrangement with Paul), we are full so please do not turn up, you will not be allowed in.

There will not be room in the pits for any vehicles apart from the one bringing the race car.

Spectators are allowed at the practice day and there is no charge for entry. Unless you are in the race transporter you must enter through the stadium turnstiles –there is no going through the pit gate on foot.

IF YOU ARE IN A FORMULA WHICH USES RACE RECEIVERS FOR 2023 (EVERYTHING APART FROM NATIONAL BANGERS) WE WILL BE USING THESE TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOU TODAY. PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE USING YOURS AND THAT IT IS TUNED TO CHANNEL 952 (FREQUENCY 461.8875)

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RECEIVER, THEY ARE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE FROM RACE CONTROL (£95).

We are fully booked for practice so space is at a premium. Please park as close to other transporters as you can.

We will be running a rota for which formulas will practice. This rota is listed below;

1.            2L & 1300 Stock Cars

2.            1500cc/1600cc & Micro Bangers

3.            Unlimited & 2L Bangers

4.            Junior Formulas – Junior Bangers and MiniStox

5.            F2 Stock Cars

Please listen to the Pit PA where announcements will be made when you need to line up. If the pit gate has closed once your section of formulas have gone on track you will have to wait until that formula goes on track again.

Every practice run will take place over 10 laps.

Please check below how your section of formulas will run:

2L & 1300 Stock Cars

The Saloon Stock Cars will be split between 2L & 1300 Stock Cars. When going on track for the first time 1300 Stock Cars will be on first and should go to the start / finish line whilst the 2L Stock Cars should go on the middle. Once the 1300 Stock Cars have had their practice they should go on the middle and the 2L Stock Cars line up on track at the start finish line. In the event of there being too many cars on track for one run, the practice run for that formula will be split into two. If a practice session is to be split into two, drivers will be informed over their receiver. The order of which formula goes first will rotate each time so for the second run it will be the 2L Stock Cars which go first, third run 1300 Stock Cars first etc.

1500 / 1600 Bangers and Micro Bangers

Drivers will line up at the start finish line. This group of drivers will not be split.

Unlimited & 2L Bangers

Drivers line up at the start finish line. It is very likely that this formula will need to be split into two runs. In the event of two runs taking place half the drivers will be pulled onto the centre whilst the first run takes place. When this is completed the drivers who are on track will go on the centre and drivers for the second run will line up at the start / finish line. Drivers for the second run are not to start practicing until they are given the green flag by marshalls.

Junior Formulas

When going on track Junior Bangers will be on first and should go to the start / finish line whilst the MiniStox should go on the middle. Once the Junior Bangers have had their practice they should go on the middle and the MiniStox go on track. Instructions on when to move on track will be given to drivers via their raceivers.

F2 Stock Cars

Drivers line up at the start finish line. It is very likely that this formula will need to be split into two runs. In the event of two runs half the drivers will be instructed via the receiver to go on the centre whilst the first run takes place. When this is completed the drivers who are on track will go on the centre and drivers for the second run will be instructed via raceivers to go on track.

Thank you for the support, we hope you enjoy the day and find the track time useful.
