Connor Siddalls Halloween Carnival Fundraiser
This year, Connor and his family are raising money in memory of Connors Uncle Marc ‘Sid’ Siddalls who sadly passed away on the morning of 11th June 2021. Sid passed away suddenly of Ischemic heart disease leaving His Wife, Emma, and 5 sons, Joshua, Callum, Ethan, Alfie and Logan devastated as well as the rest of his family.
After a consultation with a doctor, they have been told that Sid’s 5 boys and members of the Siddalls family are highly likely to carry the same gene as Sid as we have found that Heart Disease is Hereditary within there family. In the early 1980s, Sid’s Dad, Tony Siddalls, who used to race in Economy Cars at Hednesford Hills Raceway back in the 1960s in car 201 mainly racing Zephyrs/Zodiacs, also passed away from Coronary Heart Disease, also known as Ischemic Heart Disease.
The Racing scene has gone through the generations with Tony Siddalls racing number 201 in the economy cars , Mick Siddalls 104 racing since the early 1990s and then Connor Siddalls (Mick’s Son) number 704 taking the third generation into the Banger Racing scene, both racing for the Barton Boys. Tonight with Connor racing in this Jaguar Xj3000 Hearse.
Together as a family, they are raising money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of Sid where all funds will go towards a cure for inherited causes of cardiac arrest with a single injection; a project known as CureHeart. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives.
To kick off their fundraising, Connor is racing a Jaguar XJ3000 Hearse this Saturday which can be viewed in the pits, with marker pens available for anyone who wishes to write their name or a message on the car before its destruction and also a chance for you to have a picture with the Barton Boy driver.
