John Farrow
We are very saddened to hear about the recent passing of John Farrow, who along with his wife, the much missed Marion played a massive part with Trackstar for over twenty years from the mid 1980s. John started helping out at the old Cleethorpes track back in the 1980s and it was not long before he was a familiar face at all of the East Anglian tracks, for over 20 years spending the majority of that time as Clerk of the Course where his firm but fair attitude earned him the respect of all of his colleagues and also the toughest of drivers! When John along with Marion stepped down from the physically demanding role of helping to run meetings, they were still often seen at King’s Lynn watching and helping behind the scenes with roles such as helping to look after sponsors. Marion went on to become secretary of the Saloon Stock Car Association in a role which saw her become much loved by drivers in the formula with her caring nature. She would have been the first to admit though that she would not have been able to do this role without the support of John who actively did everything he could to help Marion. Our thoughts are with everyone who knew John at this sad time. R.I.P.
