1300 Stock Car Steve Newman Memorial

Following discussions between Trackstar and Spedeworth, 1300 Stock Cars have been added to the King’s Lynn fixture on Sunday 19 August. This is the date of the 2L Stock Car Steve Newman Memorial and will now allow the 1300 Stock Car Steve Newman Memorial to also take place on this date.

1300 Stock Cars were originally scheduled for Great Yarmouth on this date but they have now swapped fixtures with the UK Barn Finds Historic Stock Cars on 12 August to allow the 1300 Stock Car Steve Newman Memorial to take place alongside the 2L Stock Car Steve Newman Memorial Final on the same day as it has in the past.

The Trackstar fixture planners made an error by not initially scheduling the 1300 Stock Cars on 19 August and thanks go to Spedeworth for their help in sorting out this out to help ensure that Steve Newman is remembered with Memorial Finals for both of the Stock Car formulas he played a big part in on the same day as in the past – something which his family are also pleased about!

We are asking both 2L and 1300 Stock Car drivers racing at this meeting to paint their front bumpers yellow in memory of Steve.

The meeting at Great Yarmouth on 12 August will count towards the Trackstar National Points Chart as a special “double points” wild card meeting and it would be great to see as many Trackstar drivers as possible support the Yarmouth fixture.
