Harris Hunts Hat-trick History

BriSCA F1 Stock Car Superstar and current European champion Tom Harris (84) will be looking to enter the history books on Saturday 20th October (Racing from 5:15pm), by becoming the first driver to have ever claimed a hat-trick of F1 final wins in successive meetings around the King’s Lynn Arena; in doing so, a bonus payout will take the final winner purse up to £1000!
A number of drivers have come close to this feat: Simon Panton (288) in 2004, Steve Cayzer (380) in 2005, Stuart Smith (390) came close earlier this year; Craig Finnikin (55) and Frankie Wainman JNR (515) have twice got a pair of final wins, but in the history of F1 racing at King's Lynn which can be traced back to 1955, no driver has ever claimed the hat-trick.
Frankie and Stuart nearly did the hat-trick this year; however, they were marked men; how will the 84 machine fair as he goes after the £1000? Find out this Saturday!
Here Tom talks to Keith Organ ahead of Saturday’s meeting.

“The season has been fairly good for both me and Luke (Davidson 464), we have both had some good wins. I do enjoy racing at Kings Lynn; the track is always superb and it makes for good fast racing.” Tom explained.
“To win 3 finals in a row would be an awesome achievement, I’ll definitely be going for it, but I’m sure I’ll have a target on my back! Yeah, the £1000 bonus will probably make me try that bit harder!”
“Not sure about a game plan, I’ll have to see how the night pans out and if I have the speed to win or if i need to use the bumper.”
KO: You are also up there with Frankie and Stuart this year at the top of the track points leader board. It will be good to have bragging rights in the track championship with next years World Final at King’s Lynn having won it here in 2013?
“I’m not sure on the points situation as I missed the start of the year, but yeah, it will always be good to win definitely, I’ll be looking forward to the World Final at Kings Lynn. 2013 was a special night for me and if I can keep the car on form, get through my Semi-Final; I’ll have a good chance!”
“I’m not sure about plans for next year yet, I’ll do as much as possible. I have a new tarmac car and possibly a new shale car for the start of the year.”
“I’d like to thank Jamie Davidson for giving me this opportunity to race. Carron for making my overalls smell so nice. Luke for giving me all the best tyres. Cecil for all he does in the week. Seriously, a huge thanks to everyone that helps keep the cars on the track week in and week out. Thank you for your hard work and making this all possible.”
