Stock Car Racing is Magic …over 70 years of Thrills Of The Century! Thrills, spills, racing, crashing and bumping the opposition out the way; is all part of the game and spectacle! The big and brutal F1 Stock Cars, loud and proud Stock Car action, will start their 2025 season right here and what a year of F1 action we have coming up at King’s Lynn; the biggest race of the year coming to King’s Lynn in September with the World Championship, a brilliant year of F1 racing incoming. Racing alongside are the superb bumper-antics of the Saloon Stock Cars off the back of a fantastic season opener, the Saloons also have their World Championship at King’s Lynn in August and the awesome National MiniStox will be on the line up . . . who also have their Gold Roof race at King’s Lynn. A golden year at King’s Lynn kicking off right here. A great night of Stock Cars, not to be missed. As seen on Top Gear in 2022! Noise, colour, smell, friends, family and . . . awesome Short Oval Motorsport. It really has to be seen live to be believed. There are 47 F1 Stock Cars, 38 Saloon Stock Cars and 27 Ministox booked in to race.
It’s the new season; let’s get ready to rumble! We open the BriSCA F1 Stock Car season – a special year it is too with the 70th Anniversary of racing here at King’s Lynn aswell of course the World Championship final in September. The National Ministox Season opening meeting too tonight and the Saloons join us for their second meeting here this year. We’re sure they’ll all be putting on a show as they did two weeks ago. All three of these classes will be racing for their biggest race of the year at King’s Lynn with all three contesting their Gold Roof races here later this season – track time and form will be all important.
The BriSCA F1 Stock Cars will start the night with their 2024 W&Y Grade Final, these races are always a good watch and are hugely competitive, giving the lower graders their time to shine. Trackstar are very honoured to have been approached to host the Eric Graveling memorial once again; which will be run in conjunction with the White and Yellows Championship… we are very grateful to Eric’s Daughter, Sara-Jayne, with additional Sponsorship meaning that the race winner will take home a superb purse of £315! The race worth over £1000, with thanks to T.M. Browne Construction and Building Maintenance for the additional sponsorship across 2nd to 8th and £50 lap leader bonuses for lap 1 to 9! Also a huge thank you to Stephen Lawson of SL Rally Tyres for his generous contribution of a number of tyres also up for grabs. 268 Richard Woods defends the title and will be hoping to keep the trophy, but there will be a number of drivers who could step up and challenge for the win. Keep an eye particularly on 82 Karl Mosely, 93 Sam Makim, 345 Jake Harrhy.
A strong showing of top drivers, the likes of 16 Mat Newson and 515 Frankie Wainman who always go well around King’s Lynn, plus the big return of former World Champion 445 Nigel Green. 8 Catherine Harris will line up and will be one to watch for sure. As will Multi-Champion in the Saloons 349 Michael Allard. In the mid-grid we have the likes of 120 Casey Englestone, 166 Bobby Griffin, 326 Mark Sargent and 457 Callum Gill who makes his return to the F1 scene after some time away due to awaiting parts. All of these drivers are very capable of getting to the front and are no slouches on the King’s Lynn shale. We have Dutch interest to in the form of H40 Mark Tesselaar, H162 Arjan Lighthar, 418 Niels Tesselaar and 525 Nigel de Kock who are all making the long trip over; good luck and thank you to them for coming over; which will certainly add to a great line up for the F1s.
The Saloon Stock Cars are back in action for the second time here; high-end 30’s of them are scheduled. Just over 40 made it to King’s Lynn for the season opener two weeks ago; and it was certainly a top night of action. Champions 238 Alfie Aldous and 389 Ryan Santry are back and know the quick way around King’s Lynn. 760 Joey Reynolds debuted a smart new car and improved as the night went on, he will be hoping it’s on the winners podium this week; 151 Levi List and 525 Wes Starmer also had good results last time out and looking for more again.
Keep an eye on 329 Keagan Sampson and 370 Rowan Venni who were both well involved on the 1st March and also know what the front bumper is for. Also keep a watch out for 400 Lee Kingsnorth and 149 Jamie Sampson who throw their hat in to the ring; a very outing for Sampson too and it will be interesting to see how he get’s on. 178 Kieran Bowman was a race winner here two weeks ago and will certainly be in the mix once more on Saturday; one to watch out for. Further interest from Mainland Europe in the Saloons with D153 Nick Antwerpen D303 Kevin Loeff making the trip over, good luck to them, in particular Loeff who makes his first appearance here in over 10 years.
The National Ministox are back at King’s Lynn for their first outing here in since March 2024; the Ministox are a real competitive formula; with the form book wide open. Whether top drivers or at the other end a lot of drivers just embarking on their career in Short Ovals – good luck to them all in equal measure, may the best driver win – these youngsters are just 10-15 and don’t hold back! Top tips for Saturday to watch out for- 425 Boden Murfin, 496 Thomas Holcroft and 642 Alfie Smith. Plus 5 Harry Sworder, who certainly made an impact on his debut last year!
We’re ready for a big night and Season of action at King’s Lynn, we hope to see you there.
