1300 SALOON STOCK CARS @ Startrax
Startrax invite interested drivers to come along to a meeting at 8.45.pm on Thursday 8th December at Knutton Working Mens Club, Newcastle Under Lyme ST5 6DT
Spedeworth / TSR and ourselves together with Ireland and Lochgelly formed an alliance 3 years ago and from Startrax perspective run them at Coventry and Sheffield.
We did try do get them going without too much success at Stoke 2/3 years ago but probably did not do it with enough conviction. However, we wish to get this formula going and established in the Midlands and North from 2017 onwards however with an accent on building up a 'local' base in our area and NOT having to rely on drivers from the East and South to make excessive journeys and poor car counts.
This formula is flourishing elsewhere and we want to introduce it to Belle Vue and become a major contact formula at Stoke together with Coventry and Sheffield - but also drivers have the opportunity to travel East to King's Lynn and Mildenhall as well as all Spedeworth tracks and of course Scotland and Ireland.
For 2017 subject to us being able to get interest from a minimum '8' drivers locally for the start of the season, Incarace and Startrax intend working together with a Central / Northern league to 'encourage' local drivers to participate without travelling - points scored in those meetings will allow drivers to then qualify for major championships. This is a budget formula.
We are obviously well aware that Buxton, local to us, run 1300's in association with Skegness quite successfully separate to ourselves / Spedeworth/TSR and ourselves. To avoid repetitive questions at the meeting YOU MAY RACE and License separately with us and Buxton/Skegness and race in both 1300 classes BUT you must have a different car, you CANNOT convert the car for use at both. The reasons are complex and suffice to say that is the way it is and has to be and isn't currently negotiable - hence pointing that out BEFORE you attend or contact us.
Locally, dates will be included at Stoke Birmingham and Belle Vue [ subject to specified interest levels ] alongside Coventry and Sheffield and the other National fixtures - BUT this is designed in the first instance to get the formula going 'locally' Points will be 'local' and 'track championships etc' to create better interest but of course you are free to travel further afield to aforementioned venues and Championships at any time.
Timing is important, there are plenty of second hand cars available this time of year - IF you are interested then please try and attend the meeting or contact Baz by email on cbracegear@hotmail.co.uk - the rules are available online. We simply want a commitment of 8 or more drivers for this to fly.
