The Stand Up 4 Ollie campaign came to King’s Lynn on 4th August at the F1 Semi Final meeting and raised an excellent £829.45 from bucket collecting around the stadium; including a brilliant gesture from F2 Stock Car drivers Gordon Moodie and James Riggall who donated their prize money from the evening to the collection. A big thank you to them and the other drivers / teams who gave Ollie some gifts, not forgetting everyone who donated - thank you.
Although a fantastic amount- Trackstar Racing couldn't leave the total on an odd amount; Paul Butler and Graham Robinson of Trackstar have therefore given an extra bonus to the collection.
Graham said: "We couldn't leave the Stand up 4 Ollie collection on an odd amount, so, we have donated an extra £170.55! We are happy to donate to such a great cause and making the total £1000 raised at witih us on Saturday. Good luck from all at Trackstar Racing."
Many who were there Saturday will now be familiar with the campaign:
Oliver Dempsey is 5 years old from Stafford and he is a big fan of Stock Car racing with his family being around the sport for many years; Oliver is a big supporter of BriSCA F1 World Champion Nigel Green (445). He was born prematurely at 36 weeks with periventricular leukomalacia (PVL) which led on to him being diagnosed with diplegia cerebral palsy affecting his lower limbs.
Oliver has been accepted for SDR surgery at Alder Hey children’s hospital in Liverpool. This operation will be life changing for Oliver. It will permanently reduce the spasticity in his muscles which stop his progression and will stop his muscles spams meaning he will be pain free.
Unfortunately, SDR surgery isn’t available on the NHS so the Stand up 4 Ollie campaign is aiming to raise £50,000 for the SDR surgery and vital physiotherapy and equipment.

We were very honoured to be able to help with the campaign; but if you can please help further, every donation is hugely appreciated and glad Ollie had a fantastic night with us.
