Report:
A night of non stop Stock Cars. The action came thick and fast; with some excellent racing on display. It had been bone dry all night and then crucially rained for the all important finals, sadly affecting the F2 Stock Car People’s Trophy Final, nonetheless the drivers did a great job in the conditions. A huge well done to Zoe, Darren and the #LoveF2s team for coordinating the event too and to all the sponsors for contributing. Thank you.
The F2 Stock Cars saw around mid 50’s in attendance, Gordon Moodie (7) pulled out a heat and final double, romping home to victory in the People’s Trophy ahead of Jack Witts (880) in second and Charley Tomblin (129) in third with a good mid race for the podium. Dale Seneschall (482) took a heat victory to go with the Tarmac People’s Trophy heat win from Taunton. Josh Rayner (414) and Greg McKenzie (47) were victorious in the Consolations; with Dave Polley (38) rounding out the night with a Grand National win.
26 2L Saloons made their way to King’s Lynn, the first race concluded in dramatic style with a four way tussle for the lead in the final bend, Michael Allard (349) piping them to the post to take the win. Harry Barnes (126) went on to win heat 2, which saw Simon Venni (570) ride the wall in turn 1 on his side in spectacular fashion courtesy of Barnes, with Tommy Barnes (26) holding on to take the win in the feature final as the heavens opened.
The 1300 Stock Cars back once again in good numbers, high end of 30’s racing. Kyle Futter (227) took the win in the opening white graders race ahead of Caine Parnell (229) second and Darren Smith (83) in third. Polly Reade (185) also having a good race, holding top three for most of the race, just getting pipped by Smith and demoted to fourth in the last lap. Charlie Sime (584) was winner in heat 2 and Jacob Bromley (303) winner of heat 3 in which will be best remembered for three big spectacular moments and rollovers for Mitchell Tomlinson (317), Polly Reade (185) and Jordan Godfrey (144). Jack Wilkins (690) charged to a win in the feature final, ahead of Caine Parnell (229) and Jack Lower (142) in second and third.
A great night of Stock Cars.
